Any questions?

Which bath is the most comfortable ?

There is no universal answer — comfort depends on your height, how you use the bath, and the space available. That said, several criteria make a real difference : interior length, basin depth, backrest shape and material.

For length, allow at least 170 cm if you are 5'9" or taller — our 170 cm baths and 180 cm baths allow full immersion. For depth, freestanding oval baths are generally deeper than standard built-in models. For massage, a whirlpool bath adds an incomparable relaxation dimension — toning water jets or enveloping air bubbles depending on the system chosen. For two people, our 2-person baths offer generous space with moulded ergonomic seating.

In all cases, the acrylic used in all Spalina baths guarantees a soft touch and excellent heat retention — two factors that extend the pleasure of your bath.

What guarantees does Spalina offer ?

All Spalina baths come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and conformity defects. This warranty covers parts and labour in the event of a proven defect. Our after-sales service is available 5d/7 to answer any technical or commercial questions after receipt.

For whirlpool baths, every model is tested for 4 hours in water before dispatch — a systematic step in our specifications that guarantees the correct operation of the entire hydraulic and electrical system before the bath leaves our warehouse.

Spalina is a French brand founded in 2003, specialising in acrylic baths, with over 60,000 baths delivered. For any after-sales enquiry, contact us at hello@spalina.fr or via our contact form.

Which baths are recommended for small spaces ?

For a small bathroom, the choice of bath depends above all on the layout of your space and the location of your plumbing. Several solutions exist to enjoy a real bath without sacrificing circulation.

In a corner : a corner bath fits into an unused corner and frees up the centre of the room. The Capri 150 (right or left) is our most compact model in this configuration, from 879€.

Wall-mounted : a semi-freestanding bath offers the look of a freestanding model with a smaller footprint. The Mint 150 and Naos 150 measure 150x75 cm — our most compact references in this range.

Freestanding : if you have at least 7 m², our 150 cm freestanding baths such as the Kelly 150 or Loona 150 offer a great balance between design and space saving. For compact whirlpools, the Maldives Jets (135x135 cm) is our smallest whirlpool model. All delivered free of charge within 6 working days, 2-year warranty.

What size bath for your height ?

Bath length is the number one criterion. As a general rule, choose a bath whose interior length is at least 10 cm greater than your height, so you can lie down comfortably without bending your knees.

For someone up to 160 cm : a 150 cm bath is more than sufficient — our Kelly 150 or Mint 150 models are ideal.

For 160 cm to 170 cm : a 160 cm bath is optimal — the Capri 160 or Mint 160 are a perfect fit.

For 170 cm to 180 cm : go for a 170 cm model — our oval freestanding baths offer optimal immersion at this length.

For 180 cm and above : choose a 180 cm bath straight away — a few extra centimetres make a real difference for your legs.

For width, allow at least 75 cm for a comfortable soak ; 80 cm or more if you like to really spread out. All Spalina baths are delivered free of charge within 6 working days, 2-year warranty.

How to design a small bathroom with a freestanding bath ?

Installing a freestanding bath in a small bathroom is perfectly possible, as long as you choose the right format and optimise the layout. Here are the key rules.

Choose the right format : for a bathroom of 5 to 7 m², go for 150 cm models such as the Kelly 150 or the Loona 150. The Loom 2.0 (130x130 cm, round) is our most compact model — its circular format means it fits in almost any space.

Respect clearances : allow at least 60 cm of free space on each side of the bath for circulation and access to the taps. If this is not possible on one side, a semi-freestanding bath will be more suitable — it leans against a wall, saving space while keeping the freestanding look.

Optimise the space : position the bath along the main axis of the room or at a diagonal to create a sense of volume. Avoid bulky furniture nearby. A corner bath such as the Capri 150 is also an excellent alternative for small spaces — it fits into a corner and frees up the centre of the bathroom.

Why should I install a 160cm bathtub in my bathroom?

Regardless of what they say, size matters. If you’re looking to renovate your bathroom, consider the advantages of a 160cm bathtub: a solid compromise between comfort and space-saving.

A 160cm tub is the smart choice for anyone who wants to optimize space without sacrificing comfort. Its long, slim design makes this tub the perfect fit for a small to medium-sized bathroom. These dimensions will give you just the right blend of comfort and space-saving.

Perfect for small to medium-sized bathrooms

Long yet slim, the 160cm bathtub is the ideal solution for tight spaces where every square metre counts. You’ll enjoy relaxing baths without taking up excessive space in your bathroom.

Neither too big nor too small, this size will meet the needs of one person or an entire family. It will give you plenty of room to stretch out, yet won’t get in the way of the vanity, toilet, boiler, radiator or towel rack.

Layout possibilities

If your bathroom’s layout permits, install your 160cm bathtub along the wall. Another possible setup: place your tub in the corner to maximize available space.

Acrylic bathtubs: durability guaranteed

Acrylic is one of the most popular materials for modern bathtubs. And for good reason: durable yet lightweight and easy to maintain, acrylic offers the perfect blend of form and function.

A rugged and durable material

Acrylic bathtubs are designed to stand the test of time. As such, they are impressively resistant to shocks, scratches and everyday wear and tear. Another advantage: since acrylic doesn’t fade, your tub will keep its dazzling finish for years to come.

Unparalleled thermal comfort

An excellent thermal insulator, acrylic will keep your bathwater warm that much longer. That makes it the perfect choice for anyone who enjoys a long, relaxing soak.

Easy and convenient to maintain

Acrylic’s smooth, non-porous surface makes it a breeze to clean. A damp cloth and standard cleaning product are all you need to keep your bathtub immaculate and radiant.

An attractive design

The elegant design of our acrylic bathtubs will bring out the best in your bathroom. Their sleek finishes will make your space pop.

When you choose an acrylic bathtub, you’re investing in a durable, stylish and comfortable solution. You’re also transforming your bathroom into a full-blown spa.

How much should I expect to spend on a Spalina 160cm bathtub?

Buying a 160cm bathtub: Which one is right for me?

Finding the perfect bathtub for your bathroom requires careful consideration. Here a few key points to keep in mind to ensure you choose the tub that best meets your needs.

Exact dimensions and compatibility with surrounding space

First things first: take precise measurements of your bathroom to make sure that your 160cm bathtub will fit seamlessly. You’ll need to keep in mind the length and width of your future fixture as well as any space constraints such as walls, corners or other fixtures (boiler, toilet, etc.).

Style and finish

Next, it’s time to consider the style and finish of your future 160cm bathtub. Keep in mind: the tub you choose should fit in harmoniously with its surroundings (tile flooring, wall siding, etc.).

To meet your needs, our bathtubs come in a wide range of finishes. Each model is available in multiple colours (white, grey and black).

Technical features

We also recommend that you compare the technical features of different models. More specifically: look at materials. At Spalina, acrylic is our material of choice. However, you’ll find many other materials on the market, from steel to cast iron and even glass.

Prices

Finally, compare the materials, style and technical features of various price ranges. You have probably set a budget for your bathroom renovation project. Be sure to take it into account as you narrow down your list of models.

By factoring these criteria and your budget into your decision, you’ll be able to choose the right bathtub for your needs. Take a moment to browse our catalogue and follow our advice to a successful purchase!
