160 back to wall bathtub
At 160 cm long, the back-to-wall bath 160 brings the style of a freestanding bath while suiting bathrooms more compact than a standard model. Several configurations are available, including corner or wall-mounted versions, depending on your room layout.
Every tub is made from acrylic, a material that resists knocks and scratches, is lightweight and easy to maintain. Available in white, black or grey finish, to suit your decor.
Every Spalina model comes with a 2-year guarantee and is delivered free within 6 working days across most of Europe (a surcharge may apply for island delivery).
Back-to-wall bath 160: how to choose the right one
At 160 cm, this bath offers a good compromise between the style of a freestanding bath and the footprint of a compact model. It allows for a neat look even in a bathroom where a standard 170-180 cm model wouldn't fit.
Corner or wall-mounted: two configurations
This range offers two positioning types. The corner version, available in right- or left-hand depending on the desired drain position, makes use of a room corner to optimise space. The wall-mounted version rests against a wall section while keeping a look close to a freestanding bath on the other sides, for easier installation. If you want to save maximum space, the corner version remains the most advantageous; if your bathroom's layout allows it, the wall-mounted version is generally more design-led.
Available finishes
Depending on the model, these baths are available in white, black or grey, to match your decor.
A material built to last
All our back-to-wall baths 160 are made from acrylic. This material offers an excellent balance of looks, comfort and durability: a smooth, lightweight surface, good heat retention for the water, good resistance to knocks and scratches.
Fitting your bath into a small bathroom
To optimise the space around the bath, favour wall-mounted furniture that frees up floor space, and wall shelving for storage without cluttering the room. Mirrors and well-thought-out lighting also help visually enlarge the space; light shades and reflective materials reinforce this feeling of openness.
Maintenance tips
To keep your bath looking its best, clean it regularly with a mild product suited to acrylic, or a mix of warm water and white vinegar against limescale marks. Avoid abrasive sponges and aggressive chemicals, which could scratch or dull the surface. Wiping the bath after each use also limits limescale build-up.

Any questions?
How much does a 160 cm semi-freestanding bath cost ?
Spalina's 160 cm semi-freestanding baths start from €879, free delivery included. At this price, you will find the Capri 160 (corner, right or left), the Cosmic 160 (corner) and the Naos 160 (wall-mounted), all available in gloss white, matte black or matte grey depending on the model.
For the Mint 160 (wall-mounted), expect to pay €889 — a minor €10 difference for an equally well-finished surface. All our semi-freestanding baths are made from premium acrylic, come with a 2-year warranty and are delivered within 6 working days.
Which bath is the most comfortable ?
There is no universal answer — comfort depends on your height, how you use the bath, and the space available. That said, several criteria make a real difference : interior length, basin depth, backrest shape and material.
For length, allow at least 170 cm if you are 5'9" or taller — our 170 cm baths and 180 cm baths allow full immersion. For depth, freestanding oval baths are generally deeper than standard built-in models. For massage, a whirlpool bath adds an incomparable relaxation dimension — toning water jets or enveloping air bubbles depending on the system chosen. For two people, our 2-person baths offer generous space with moulded ergonomic seating.
In all cases, the acrylic used in all Spalina baths guarantees a soft touch and excellent heat retention — two factors that extend the pleasure of your bath.
What guarantees does Spalina offer ?
All Spalina baths come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and conformity defects. This warranty covers parts and labour in the event of a proven defect. Our after-sales service is available 5d/7 to answer any technical or commercial questions after receipt.
For whirlpool baths, every model is tested for 4 hours in water before dispatch — a systematic step in our specifications that guarantees the correct operation of the entire hydraulic and electrical system before the bath leaves our warehouse.
Spalina is a French brand founded in 2003, specialising in acrylic baths, with over 60,000 baths delivered. For any after-sales enquiry, contact us at hello@spalina.fr or via our contact form.
What is the difference between a freestanding bath and a semi-freestanding bath ?
A freestanding bath sits freely in the bathroom, away from all walls. It is finished on all sides and becomes the centrepiece of the room. It requires generous space — allow at least 60 cm of clearance on each side — and a floor water supply.
A semi-freestanding bath leans against a wall. It retains the look of a freestanding model on its three visible sides, while simplifying installation : the water supply can come through the wall, and it takes up less space. It is the ideal solution for bathrooms of 5 to 7 m² that want a beautiful design without space constraints.
In short : if you have the space and a floor water supply, go for a freestanding bath. If your bathroom is more compact or your plumbing runs through the wall, a semi-freestanding bath is more suitable. In both cases, Spalina offers models in 160, 170 and 180 cm, in acrylic, delivered free of charge within 6 working days.
What is the ideal size for a rectangular bath ?
There is no universal size — the choice depends on your height, your bathroom and how you use the bath. That said, a few concrete guidelines help narrow it down.
For someone up to 175 cm, a 170 cm rectangular bath provides full, comfortable immersion. If you are 180 cm or taller, go straight for a 180 cm model — a few extra centimetres make a real difference for your legs. For width, allow at least 75 cm for a relaxed soak ; 80 cm if you like to stretch out fully.
At Spalina, our semi-freestanding rectangular baths come in 170 and 180 cm. Among the most popular models : the Cobalt 170 in white, matte black or matte grey — compact and elegant — and the Mint 180 for those looking for a larger format. All come with a 2-year warranty and free delivery within 6 working days.
What is the smallest freestanding bath ?
The most compact bath in the Spalina range is the Loom 2.0 — a round bath measuring 130x130 cm, available in gloss white, matte black and matte grey. Its circular format gives it one of the smallest footprints on the market, while its depth allows for generous immersion.
For a compact oval format, our Kelly 150, Loona 150, Neroon 2.0 150 and Samba 150 models measure 150 cm in length — a comfortable size for people up to 5'7", with real space savings compared to a 170 cm model.
For even tighter spaces, our semi-freestanding baths offer a smaller footprint while keeping the freestanding look : the Mint 150 and Naos 150 measure 150x75 cm, and the Capri 150 (right or left) installs in a corner to make the most of the available space. All come with a 2-year warranty and free delivery within 6 working days.
Which baths are recommended for small spaces ?
For a small bathroom, the choice of bath depends above all on the layout of your space and the location of your plumbing. Several solutions exist to enjoy a real bath without sacrificing circulation.
In a corner : a corner bath fits into an unused corner and frees up the centre of the room. The Capri 150 (right or left) is our most compact model in this configuration, from 879€.
Wall-mounted : a semi-freestanding bath offers the look of a freestanding model with a smaller footprint. The Mint 150 and Naos 150 measure 150x75 cm — our most compact references in this range.
Freestanding : if you have at least 7 m², our 150 cm freestanding baths such as the Kelly 150 or Loona 150 offer a great balance between design and space saving. For compact whirlpools, the Maldives Jets (135x135 cm) is our smallest whirlpool model. All delivered free of charge within 6 working days, 2-year warranty.
Can you fit a rectangular bath in a small bathroom ?
Yes, absolutely — as long as you choose the right format and configuration. A rectangular bath is actually one of the most suitable shapes for small spaces, as its straight lines integrate easily along a wall and make the most of the available space.
For a bathroom of 5 to 6 m², opt for a rectangular semi-freestanding bath — it leans against a wall, reducing the floor footprint while keeping the freestanding look. Our Mint 150 (150x75 cm) and Naos 150 (150x75 cm) models are our most compact references.
For a bathroom of 6 to 8 m², a rectangular freestanding bath such as the Stellar (170x75 cm) or the Kira 170 installs easily with 60 cm of clearance on each side. If you also want a whirlpool bath, the Tenzo Wave (170x75 cm) is our slimmest rectangular whirlpool model. All come with a 2-year warranty and free delivery within 6 working days.
What is the ideal size for my semi-freestanding bath ?
The ideal size for a semi-freestanding bath depends on the available wall space and your height. Unlike a freestanding model, the semi-freestanding bath installs against a wall, which reduces the floor footprint — allow around 75 to 80 cm of width in addition to your chosen length.
For someone up to 170 cm, a 160 cm model is enough. If you are 170 cm to 180 cm tall, go for a 170 cm model — a few extra centimetres avoid bending your knees. Above 180 cm, the 180 cm model remains the best option for full immersion.
Before choosing, sketch out your bathroom layout with the toilet, basin and furniture in place to check the remaining circulation space. All our semi-freestanding baths come with a 2-year warranty and free delivery within 6 working days.
