There is no universal answer — comfort depends on your height, how you use the bath, and the space available. That said, several criteria make a real difference : interior length, basin depth, backrest shape and material.

For length, allow at least 170 cm if you are 5'9" or taller — our 170 cm baths and 180 cm baths allow full immersion. For depth, freestanding oval baths are generally deeper than standard built-in models. For massage, a whirlpool bath adds an incomparable relaxation dimension — toning water jets or enveloping air bubbles depending on the system chosen. For two people, our 2-person baths offer generous space with moulded ergonomic seating.

In all cases, the acrylic used in all Spalina baths guarantees a soft touch and excellent heat retention — two factors that extend the pleasure of your bath.

Choosing a whirlpool bath comes down to four main criteria : available space, type of massage, configuration (1 or 2 people) and shape.

Space : our models start at 135x135 cm for corner whirlpools such as the Maldives Jets or Tasmanie Jets, and at 170x70 cm for rectangular models like the Tenzo Wave. Measure your bathroom first.

Shape : rectangular for a clean design, corner to optimise space, freestanding for a strong decorative impact. All our whirlpool baths are tested for 4 hours in water before dispatch and come with a 2-year warranty.

Bath length is the number one criterion. As a general rule, choose a bath whose interior length is at least 10 cm greater than your height, so you can lie down comfortably without bending your knees.

For someone up to 160 cm : a 150 cm bath is more than sufficient — our Kelly 150 or Mint 150 models are ideal.

For 160 cm to 170 cm : a 160 cm bath is optimal — the Capri 160 or Mint 160 are a perfect fit.

For 170 cm to 180 cm : go for a 170 cm model — our oval freestanding baths offer optimal immersion at this length.

For 180 cm and above : choose a 180 cm bath straight away — a few extra centimetres make a real difference for your legs.

For width, allow at least 75 cm for a comfortable soak ; 80 cm or more if you like to really spread out. All Spalina baths are delivered free of charge within 6 working days, 2-year warranty.

Delivery is free across Europe. For deliveries to islands, an additional charge applies: €150 incl. VAT for products weighing less than 65 kg, and €250 incl. VAT for products weighing more than 65 kg.

For a compact whirlpool bath, two formats are recommended depending on the layout of your bathroom.

In a corner : the Maldives Jets and Tasmanie Jets (135x135 cm, €1,399) are our most compact Jets models — fully symmetrical, they can be fitted on either side. The Tasmanie white Jets offers the same configuration in white at the same price.

Rectangular : the Tenzo Wave (170x70 cm, €1,499) is our slimmest rectangular model — just 70 cm wide, ideal for narrow bathrooms. The Sikinos Jets and Tahiti Jets (170x78 cm, €1,359) offer 8 cm more in width at a slightly lower price.

In all cases, allow at least 60 cm of clearance around the bath. All are tested for 4 hours in water before dispatch, 2-year warranty, free delivery within 6 working days.

Spalina jetted double bathtubs come in a variety of shapes and sizes. The Cetana Duo Wave (170 x 100 cm) is our most compact rectangular model. We also offer a slightly larger corner model: the Sangha Duo Wave (170 x 120 cm).

The word "jacuzzi" is often used as a generic term for a whirlpool bath. In reality, Jacuzzi is a registered trademark — much like "hoover" for vacuum cleaner. At Spalina, we sell whirlpool baths, not jacuzzis.

The difference lies mainly in use and dimensions. A whirlpool bath is installed in the bathroom like a standard bath — it is designed for 1 to 2 people and comes in rectangular, corner or freestanding formats. A jacuzzi, on the other hand, is a much larger piece of equipment, designed to accommodate several people at once, often installed outdoors and requiring a reinforced floor.

Maintaining an acrylic bath is straightforward as long as you use the right products. The golden rule : never use abrasive products, scouring pads or acetone-based cleaners — they will permanently scratch the surface.

For white and gloss finishes : a mild, non-abrasive cleaner diluted in lukewarm water is all you need. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to avoid limescale marks. A weekly clean is enough to keep the finish looking its best.

For matte finishes (black, grey, blue Tiff, orange H) : matte finishes are more sensitive to limescale marks and fingerprints. Use a cleaner specifically designed for matte surfaces, without wax or polish. Always dry with a microfibre cloth after each use.

For whirlpool baths : after each use, run the system empty for 2 to 3 minutes with clean water to rinse the jets and the hydraulic circuit. Once a month, run a cleaning cycle with a specialist whirlpool cleaner to remove limescale deposits from the pipes. Never use foaming products in a whirlpool while it is running.
