Rectangular bathtub
With its straight lines and timeless design, a rectangular bath fits into any bathroom layout, whether classic, modern or minimalist. It's the simplest shape to install when replacing an existing bath.
Every Spalina tub is made from acrylic, a material that resists knocks and scratches, is lightweight and easy to maintain. Several configurations are available, including whirlpool, island and back-to-wall versions, combining a classic shape with massage comfort or design appeal.
Every Spalina model comes with a 2-year guarantee and is delivered free within 6 working days across France and most of the European countries we serve.
How to choose your rectangular bath
The rectangular bath remains the most versatile shape: it fits most bathroom layouts and usually lets you replace an existing bath without altering the plumbing.
Dimensions
The first step is to measure the available space precisely, taking into account the position of other fixtures (toilet, vanity unit, basin, heating). If you're particularly tall and the space allows it, choose an above-average length for optimal comfort.
Design and finish
Beyond dimensions, the choice also comes down to design and the colour of the bath panel. Spalina offers several finishes — black, white and grey — to suit your decor project, whether all-white or contrasted.
Budget and delivery
Setting a budget upfront helps you quickly filter the available options. If ordering online, check the delivery terms: with Spalina, it's free within 6 working days across France and most of the European countries we serve.
Rectangular whirlpool bath
To turn a classic bath into a moment of relaxation, Spalina offers whirlpool versions of its rectangular range, fitted with one of its 3 massage systems: Jets, for targeted hydromassage on the back, legs or feet; Wave, for an enveloping wave-like sensation; or Bulle, for a gentler, more even bubbling effect. Every whirlpool model is tested for 4 hours under real conditions before shipping, to guarantee reliable operation from day one.
Rectangular island and back-to-wall bath
For a more sophisticated bathroom, the rectangular island bath is positioned freely in the centre of the room and becomes a genuine decorative feature. The back-to-wall version offers the same look while resting against a wall, for easier installation and space-saving.
A material built to last
All our rectangular baths are made from acrylic. This material offers an excellent balance of looks, comfort and durability: a smooth, lightweight surface, good resistance to knocks and scratches, and easy day-to-day upkeep.
Installation, step by step
Installing a rectangular bath generally follows 4 steps: marking out the position and drain location, adjusting the feet height while leaving a 5 mm gap from the floor, making the plumbing connections, then testing for leaks by filling the bath and draining it. Once these checks are done, a silicone seal is applied between the bath and the floor, with a 24-hour wait before first use.
We recommend calling in a professional for this installation, particularly for the plumbing connections.

Any questions?
What is the ideal size for a rectangular bath ?
There is no universal size — the choice depends on your height, your bathroom and how you use the bath. That said, a few concrete guidelines help narrow it down.
For someone up to 175 cm, a 170 cm rectangular bath provides full, comfortable immersion. If you are 180 cm or taller, go straight for a 180 cm model — a few extra centimetres make a real difference for your legs. For width, allow at least 75 cm for a relaxed soak ; 80 cm if you like to stretch out fully.
At Spalina, our semi-freestanding rectangular baths come in 170 and 180 cm. Among the most popular models : the Cobalt 170 in white, matte black or matte grey — compact and elegant — and the Mint 180 for those looking for a larger format. All come with a 2-year warranty and free delivery within 6 working days.
How much does a rectangular whirlpool bath cost ?
Spalina's rectangular whirlpool baths cover a wide price range depending on the technology and configuration chosen.
1 person : the Tahiti Jets and Sikinos Jets start at €1,359 — our most accessible rectangular 1-person models, in 170x78 cm with a porthole. The Maya Wave (€1,549) or Tenzo Wave (€1,499, 170x70 cm) move up slightly with the Wave system.
2 people : the Cetana duo Wave (170x100 cm, €1,949) is our most compact rectangular duo whirlpool. The Brava duo Jets (€1,949) offers the same configuration with a Jets system. The Kensho duo Wave (€1,999) offers a more generous format.
All prices include free delivery within 6 working days, a 2-year warranty and 4-hour water testing before dispatch.
What guarantees does Spalina offer ?
All Spalina baths come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and conformity defects. This warranty covers parts and labour in the event of a proven defect. Our after-sales service is available 5d/7 to answer any technical or commercial questions after receipt.
For whirlpool baths, every model is tested for 4 hours in water before dispatch — a systematic step in our specifications that guarantees the correct operation of the entire hydraulic and electrical system before the bath leaves our warehouse.
