Any questions?
Right-hand or left-hand corner bath : how do I choose ?
Choosing between a right-hand and left-hand corner bath comes down to three things : the wall it will sit against, the position of your floor drain, and the direction you approach the bath from. A right-hand corner bath has its angled cut on the right when you face it from the front. A left-hand model has it on the left.
At Spalina, the Capri, Cosmic and Quantum ranges are available in both right-hand and left-hand versions, in 160, 170 and 180 cm depending on the model. Among our corner whirlpool baths, the Sangha duo Wave and Savana duo Wave also come in right and left. Other models such as the Maldives Jets and Tasmanie Jets are fully symmetrical — they can be fitted in any corner without orientation constraints.
Not sure which to choose ? Send us a floor plan or photo of your bathroom : our team is available 5d/7 to help you pick the right orientation before ordering.
How much does it cost to install a corner bathtub?
The cost of installing a corner bathtub ranges from €300 to €800, depending on the complexity of the work. This price generally includes plumbing and installation of the bathtub. For a whirlpool model, allow for an additional charge for electrical connections. Additional costs may apply if you need to redo the tiling, install a bathtub screen, or install the mixer tap.
To get a precise idea of the price, we advise you to request quotes from plumbers, showing them the work to be carried out and the bathtub chosen.
How do I know if my floor can support a bathtub?
To find out if your floor can support a bathtub, check its supporting structure: joists, materials and center distance. A full bathtub can weigh up to 400 kg.
Then consult a craftsman or a design office if you have any doubts, especially in older or upstairs accommodations.
How to avoid getting water everywhere with a corner bathtub?
To prevent splashing out of the bathtub, we recommend installing aglass bathtub screen or a waterproof shower curtain.
Likewise, get into the habit of pointing the shower head towards your body and not outwards. Also, choose a flow-controlled showerhead and check that the silicone seal is watertight around the bathtub. Finally, lay down a non-slip mat to absorb drops at the outlet. These simple actions will limit water splashes on the ground.
Why buy a corner bathtub?
Buy a corner bathtub comes down to choosing an optimal bathing comfort without compromising the layout of your bathroom. Whether for a space saver, enhance unused space or create one wellness area elegant, the corner bathtub offers many advantages which explain its success.
What size bathtub for a person who is 1.60m tall?
For a person measuring 1m60, the ideal size of a corner bathtub depends on the desired use(relaxing bath lying down, combined shower/bath use) but also bathroom layout.
That being said, a 150 cm long bathtub already allows a person of 1.60 m to immerse themselves comfortably, in a semi-reclining position, with knees slightly bent. To lie down completely without bending your legs, you will need a 160 cm long bathtub (internal dimensions).
What are the dimensions of a corner bathtub?
The dimensions of a corner bathtub vary depending on the model. For example, our CAPRI range comes in several lengths: 160, 170 and 180 cm. Then, the Maldives Jets measures 135x135 cm, just like the Tasmanie Jets, while the Selonia Wave measures 140x140 cm. And regarding the 2-seater models, like the Sangha duo Wave, they are 170x120 cm.
By the way, the dimensions are clearly specified on each product sheet. So take them into account before ordering!
What guarantees does Spalina offer ?
All Spalina baths come with a 2-year warranty against manufacturing and conformity defects. This warranty covers parts and labour in the event of a proven defect. Our after-sales service is available 5d/7 to answer any technical or commercial questions after receipt.
For whirlpool baths, every model is tested for 4 hours in water before dispatch — a systematic step in our specifications that guarantees the correct operation of the entire hydraulic and electrical system before the bath leaves our warehouse.
Spalina is a French brand founded in 2003, specialising in acrylic baths, with over 60,000 baths delivered. For any after-sales enquiry, contact us at hello@spalina.fr or via our contact form.
What are the advantages of an acrylic bath ?
Acrylic is the material of choice for modern freestanding baths and whirlpool baths — and for good reason. Soft and pleasant to the touch, it offers a smooth, warm surface from first contact — unlike cast iron or enamelled steel, which remain cold.
Acrylic also retains heat very well, allowing you to extend each bath without having to top up with hot water. Lightweight and durable, it is easy to maintain : a soft cloth and a non-abrasive product are all you need to keep it looking pristine year after year.
At Spalina, all our baths are made from sanitary acrylic reinforced with fibreglass — a combination that guarantees rigidity, durability and lightness. This material is also compatible with the three massage systems of our whirlpool baths : the Jets system (powerful hydrojets), the Wave system (combined water and air jets) and the Bulle system (silent air microbubbles). 2-year warranty, free delivery within 6 working days.
Which baths are recommended for small spaces ?
For a small bathroom, the choice of bath depends above all on the layout of your space and the location of your plumbing. Several solutions exist to enjoy a real bath without sacrificing circulation.
In a corner : a corner bath fits into an unused corner and frees up the centre of the room. The Capri 150 (right or left) is our most compact model in this configuration, from 879€.
Wall-mounted : a semi-freestanding bath offers the look of a freestanding model with a smaller footprint. The Mint 150 and Naos 150 measure 150x75 cm — our most compact references in this range.
Freestanding : if you have at least 7 m², our 150 cm freestanding baths such as the Kelly 150 or Loona 150 offer a great balance between design and space saving. For compact whirlpools, the Maldives Jets (135x135 cm) is our smallest whirlpool model. All delivered free of charge within 6 working days, 2-year warranty.
What is the smallest bath ?
The smallest bath in the Spalina range is the Loom 2.0 — a round freestanding model measuring 130x130 cm, available in gloss white, matte black and matte grey. Its circular format gives it a minimal footprint while still offering generous immersion thanks to its depth.
If you are looking for a non-round bath, our 150 cm models are the next most compact format : the Kelly 150, Loona 150, Neroon 2.0 150 or Samba 150 as oval freestanding baths, and the Mint 150 and Naos 150 as semi-freestanding wall baths (150x75 cm).
For corner baths, our most compact model is the Capri 150 (right or left). For whirlpools, the Maldives Jets and Tasmanie Jets (135x135 cm) remain the most compact models in the whirlpool range. All delivered free of charge within 6 working days, 2-year warranty.

How do I choose the corner bathtub that’s best for my lifestyle?
To make the right choice, you’ll want to consider a list of key criteria in light of your own preferences.
Dimensions
First of all, the width and length of your prospective bathtub are crucial details, especially if you have a small bathroom. The model you choose should fit into the room without getting in the way. If you’re looking to save space, a 160cm rectangular bathtub is one good option. Spalina carries several rectangular models. If, on the other hand, you have room to spare, you may wish to choose a longer model for extra comfort.
Corner bathtub aesthetic features
Your bathtub’s aesthetic features are another important consideration. Your corner bathtub should fit harmoniously into your bathroom’s decorative ambiance. That’s why Spalina bathtubs come in several colours: black, white and grey. You’ll also find a variety of designs in our catalogue, from rectangular to asymmetric and beyond.
Materials
When it comes to materials, there’s no shortage of options. You’ll find bathtubs made from acrylic, fibreglass-reinforced acrylic, cast iron, steel, stone, etc. From this sea of options, Spalina chose fibreglass-reinforced acrylic due to its many advantages: it’s durable, does an excellent job of maintaining water temperature, and is both silky smooth and easy to maintain.
Price
Of course, you’ll probably want to shop around and compare prices to get the best deal on your bathtub. Our products will give you great value for your money. What’s more, our prices even include delivery (see our Delivery Policy for more details).
Reviews
Lastly, to ensure you buy the right corner bathtub, we recommend reading online reviews. Narrow your selection down to the best-reviewed bathtubs to avoid any nasty surprises. As you’ll see for yourself, our customers rave about our products. With that in mind, check out all of our available models, from corner whirlpool bathtubs to rectangular corner bathtubs and beyond!
